I'm surprised no one has mentioned the diffuser and the (unseen) underbody work, because if TRD did indeed test this in a wind tunnel, those two pieces work together as one functional unit for a right balance of downforce/drag.
Given the HP limitations of the car, one would assume that the AoA of the wing....

Not only did they test in the tunnel, if you look at the test videos you can see them slathering on the aerodynamic test paint on the car to see the flow of air like in Formula 1. They really are trying to make the best with what they have not adding more than 9-13 hp from a legal racing exhaust and making the car using weight, gearing and aerodynamics to its advantage, its pretty mind boggling.
