I have to agree. Getting the pump replaced time and time again is only wasting said persons time.
The rationale is "Well I'll show them. I paid for a new car and I want a new car". The second part I agree with. However, they can't shit out a fix right now. I told the guy to call me when there was a fix. I let him know after I got mine replaced that my time and I'm sure their time is important. No sense in wasting everyone's time until Toyota comes up with a fix.
Now that said if 6 months goes by or something crazy and I hear nothing I will be a little less patient. I understand its a new car and is going to have issues. Everyone that buys a brand new car in its first year should expect the same. Just ask all the Ford Escape owners that bought the 2013 model. I have one of those as well and I hear they have been recalled already for a to of stuff.
