btw got my car back within same day from Livermore Subaru. Took it in for the oil leak from the triangle plate on pass side rear of motor. Was slowly dripping oil onto the overpipe/exhaust and had oil burning smell for last several thousand miles. Currently past 10K miles.
I brought it in this morning at 10, they took an hour or so to get me into a rental loaner car (no charge) from Enterprise. Got a crap brown colored Altima. Nicer than I expected for a Nissan, but obviously not a handler. Don't like driving big cars and this felt big. Drove around running errands, having lunch, etc. Resisted temptation to flog it down Mines Rd.
Around 4:30 got the call, that the car is done. Went back to dealer by 5:15, handed the keys back to them and took my car home. When I pulled it into the garage I got a familiar whiff of the burnt oil smell.
But looking under the hood it certainly looks like they replaced and resealed the plate, and I didn't see any dripping/leaking oil. Perhaps it's just residual oil burning off but I will continue to keep an eye on it.
They washed the car, but yet it somehow still managed to be slightly dirty haha. No big deal, wiped the few spots down with some quick detailer. Remains to be seen if the fix worked, but overall the dealership experience was good.
