I used to have a tow hook (no train handle) but took it off once I got tired of the look. Sometimes people want to try things out to get it out of their system.
The exaggerated exhaust tip and train handle come from the Japanese [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C5%8Ds%C5%8Dzoku"]Bōsōzoku - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] subculture of motorcycles. Bosozoku gangsters used to steal handles off trains in Japan to hang on their tow hooks. The handle "must" drag on the ground to be done right. I thought about doing this when I had my tow hooks on but knew I'd get sick of it fast (like touge monsters I hung on my old cars) so I didn't bother. Interesting to know about the culture, though.
The train handle has been in and out of trend in California for a few years, also where hellaflush started. It's more mimicry than originality because it's bound to happen to any car and this is the first BRZ I've seen do it. @
SLICVIC being on the East Coast is sorta late to the game (I like giving him a hard time being his #1 hater though we're all TeamBRZ). East Coast needs to come out w/ something more original. Instead of following old California trends... start one!
Hopefully something less of a public safety hazard... extended exhaust tips are a burning hazard (illegal AFAIK but so is any exhaust that extends past the bumper which is why our stock tips are so tiny). Stickers on tire tread are also unsafe but I'm sure Vic knew that. Interesting to look at and not knocking his style, just sayin' it shows ignorance/disrespect to public safety. Being unique is cool. Ignorance/disrespect... not so much.
