I've been impressed with Sygic for a few map changes I thought it might not have - a couple of new roads that have only been added in the last couple of years - but never really got around to do any real navigation yet.
Kudos to you on taking your car out on the track. Personally I'm just happy avoiding all the potholes, dips, bumps, roadworks and detours down here in Chch.
I've been successful 'side-loading' Tomtom using a .apk file that I *ahem* found lying around somewhere. I think that the insufficient space' problems people have been seeing are related to the size of the /cache partition, which generally isn't shown to the user in the UI. Any largish install from the Play store will probably fail. I see that other platforms have had similar issues in the past and a few even have some hacks to get around the problem. I'll see if any might be viable in the next few days.
As for the RaceChrono - something just isn't right there. The store returns a 'not found' error, which simply shouldn't happen. There may be a misconfiguration at their end for this. There is a beta .apk file available from their site, and even though it looks like it installs, it just gives a generic 'Application Not Installed' error message. I still need to figure out how to get more details about the errors.
