[Miniata]

Never had to deal with carseats or boosters in my BRZ (my kids are 9 & 10 now), but I did in my Mini and Mustangs over the last 7 years or so which have similar leg and back seat room, and we managed just fine (always had at least one other 4-door car) for the once or twice a week I had to haul them somewhere. Never did any terribly long trips in one of the legroom/back seat room challenged cars, 6 or 8 hours was the max. When given a choice, my son usually asks to go somewhere in the BRZ (but my daughter picks the Mustang). FWIW I'm 6' and my wife is 5' tall.
