This thread definitely needs more details but it certainly raises some valid questions.
1. When were the rental cars manufactured? Is this something that Toyobaru has "stealth fixed" with the ECU update to retard engine combustion over 5200 RPM?
2. Is the failure the result of the fact that these two rentals were used almost exclusively on the track?
3. What does this mean for the future of this car, on track and off?
