i've also driven the miata, which is probably more directly comparable. the miata obviously handles excellently, but i wouldn't say it's out of the genesis's league.

i didn't like the shifter that much on the genny tho, the mazda is impossible to beat in that category. it also lacked the snug feel that i tend to look for in a sports car.

anyone saying the genny doesn't drive well has probably never driven it.

i also highly doubt the frs will actually weigh 2700lbs. i'd be willing to bet that production spec frs/brz will be closer to 2800-2850, but we'll see.
The GC handling is only good in the R-Spec and the track models, when you order the optional camber bolts. (I think they might be standard now in those models) It will handle good. Not awesome like a Cayman S but decent like a G37.

The manual transmission sucks in the GC. Hopefully they fix it in the 2013 models.

The FR-S (its currently based on low spec 86, that is in the mid 2600 pound range) will be less than 2700 pounds. Remember the High Spec 86 was 2711 pounds according to the leaked documents. No way that the final car is going to be 100 to 150 pounds heavier. What y'all are all seeing very close to final production. There was a goal for them to stay around 2700 pounds or less.

The Genesis coupe is 3389 pounds for the V6 and 3294 pounds for the I4. The V6 GC is over 700 pounds heavier than the FR-S! And the I4 GC is over 600 pounds heavier.

Not say that the GC is a bad car...it will be even better in 2013 with the 350HP DI V6 and the 275 HP DI turbo. Plus I hear the interior materials are also upgraded a bit too.
