Why do some springs (Tanabe, H&R) have a bigger drop in the rear while others (Tein, Prova) lower the front more? Is it a function vs. looks thing? The only reason I can imagine why you'd want a lower rear end is to move weight bias back (but I don't imagine a couple mm's would make much difference). Visually the front needs a bigger drop to keep the wheel gap consistent front to back.

And the spring rates are confusing too. Some of the lowering springs barely increase front rate at all, while many of the coilover come with the same rates front/back or stiffer fronts. Why the different approach?
I don't even think I've ever seen an FR with stiffer springs in the back. Can't argue with the result handling-wise but it's too bad there's not more choices offered by the aftermarket (I see you RCE , just surprised you're the only ones). But then if you wanna get all anal about rates, I spoze that's what coilovers are for.
