However the plastic bumpers develop a static charge that causes the paint particles to stand on end instead of laying flat. This causes the paint to reflect light differently and there you have it, different paint colors. The fact that they're painted separately only makes the problem worse.
This is correct, plastic bumpers next to metal parts will never match. Even from day one. I can see it on others cars driving down the highway. Of course I've been painting for geez 8 years I think now
