I guess so is every electric appliance in one's home, the remote control for the television, an electric or gas stove, etc.
You gotta be totally lazy to use any of this stuff.
You know what industrious people do? They take their clothes down to the lake with a washboard so they can experience all the sublime delights of getting their underwear clean the way god intended.
You don't experience that kind of man-clothes bond with an automatic washing machine.
