I tried H9s back in 2008 (XB) but when one of them burned out after only a few months I switched to PnP HIDs. I'll never go back to H9s. IIRC H11 is ~1300 lumens, H9 is ~2000 lumens and 35W 5000k HID is ~3000 lumens. FWIW.

BTW, the "chumps" with the blinding HIDs are most likely running them in non-projector style lamp housings. Headlamp housings designed for axial filament bulbs like the H11 are well suited for HIDs. Not perfect or as good as HID-specific housings but honestly, I never get flashed and I've been running HIDs in H11 housings for 7 years now. YMMV.
