I am not the guy to put on sticky tires, I see you are and that we prefer different things. I am fine by that. Most people have more grip mentality equals more fun or something. I do not see things that way.. I enjoy driving in wet or GOOD snow conditions more then in the dry. :p
Id like to keep that mentality when playing GT5 too.
Anyway, Ill drop my discussion about the sport hard vs. real life (stock car) grip.
To OP.
Would be nice to get the ABS part part sorted out. I like to follow rules for a challenge like this and for everyone else to do the same. It seems like the majority are driving the car with ABS. Could you change the first post to allow ABS?
Could you be so kind and add a Nordschleife leaderboard with comfort soft tires.
I enjoy those tires more, and feel they are more true to the GT86 that I would buy from the dealership. I like to compare the GT86 against its other rivals without having to upgrade to sport hard on all of the cars the comes with comfort soft.
I suggest to put a pp limit on the car that is easy to reach for everyone. If a car gets above a given pp limit u just downtune a little. Since people have posted their times, and some like to get the most HP out of a stock GT86 i fully understand if the rules will stay as they are. It is not a big deal for me.

I have the mentality that you don't bump up the horsepower on your vehicle and neglect all supporting mods, including tires. I'm talking about in real life here. I didn't bump up the HP on my current car so I can careen into a wall because my tires sucked. You know what I mean. People don't build race cars and say "oh...let me run with the same tires and brakes from the factory, even though I have an additional 150whp". Those tires and brakes were not designed to support that much additional power, so it does not make sense to use inadequate equipment.
If it's a stock car still, then I don't have a problem using the stock tires. But the thing is....these ARE the stock tires that came on the GT86 and that is what everyone is using here. If I modded the 86 to have more power, I would not continue to use the same tires, makes no sense to me.
