First Track Day 6-25-13 Talladega Gran Prix

Well, yesterday was my first track day ever and like everyone else, I'm hooked! I had done 3 years of autocrossing my 350Z before switching over to the BRZ back in November. I love the little car and enjoy the lightweight, steering feedback, stiff chassis, and high revving engine (just remember I came from a Z

Mods:
Brake Pads - Project Mu HC+ 800s on the front only
ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid

Nothing else...

Overall, I had a great time at a nice beginner friendly track with a bunch of friends. I left the traction control on in the morning as it poured several times during early on. I also managed to get 6 20 minute sessions out of the event with no brake fade what so ever.

I can only hope to next visit some of the better known tracks in the Southeast region like Road Atlanta, Atlanta Motorsports Park, Carolina Motorsports Park, and Roebling. I have been to several of these, but not as a driver.

Next Steps:
Step up to a better high performance tire compound such Michelin PSS, ZIIs, or BFG Rivals for AutoX / Track Duty.

Check out the video as well. I should have a second one up shortly with the GoPro mounted on the passenger side window.

My Advice:
Take the car out to the track and use it for what it was intended for if you get the chance!
