I have an auto and it does not matter what tire I use, it is slow compared to almost everything. Maybe with a better tire I may gain alittle in a turn. However, that will be short lived as soon as there is any type of straight.
On a track is only place you will see gains with tires.
not at all. if anything more grip would get you going faster since you arent spinning tires to do it. the grip might reign in your top end a little but its not a linear handoff between grip and rolling resistance so its going to me much less significant than it might seem
