try with tester to verify if voltage is there on wire @ ignition.
Simply you can test with a bulb: if it lights on ignition it's OK, if not, try another wire under 12v ignition.
Some antennas need only a +12v under "key", sometimes a power control is useful
only if is there a separate circuit under voltage also (ampli). PControl is merely a "+" switch only (startup).
