It's seeming more and more like that to me too. Possibly due to opposition in some places (like Subaru Australia) and concerns in others that a RWD would tarnish the Subaru product line... and numerous reports that the Subie would virtually be that same with different badges... and like you said, no Subie concept... it doesn't look good.
But except for different dealers, if Yota provides enough drivetrain options (i.e. turbo) to satisfy, we don't need another rebadged car. Now if the Subie had some unique syling it would have been a differnt matter.
