When my car was hit by a wheel on the freeway, I had exhaust, work wheels, Toyota emblems and clear side markers on it. Luckily the damage was cosmetic and my insurance has covered it completely. I had the car for 3 weeks and was returning from the dealer who had installed my license plates 10 minutes before the incident. This was 2 weeks ago (June 11th) and my car goes into the shop on July 10th. They estimated it would take a week so I'll get my car back on July 18th. It sucks driving around with a new car that looks like it has a black eye. This has also pushed back my timetable for installing coil overs, rear control arms and getting it tinted.
As much as a hassle as this has been with paperwork, insurance, police reports and estimates, the car can be fixed but my head cannot. I count my blessings because half a second quicker and the wheel could have gone through my windshield instead of smashing my hood/fender/headlight/bumper.

To the OP: glad you weren't hurt; the car can be fixed. good luck!
