I suspect the Twins are never going to reach Civic like proportions, simply because it doesn't have the practical back seats. In certain demographics, sure, until there's a competitor with cred and affordability both it's inevitably going to be hugely popular.
(Given the sales numbers thread, that you see 4 in one place at a time is more likely an anomaly compared to the sheer volume of other cars on the road.)
