For me the choice is clear. Based from the weight of an FRS / BRZ, turbo charging can only improve an already great power to weight ratio car. Depending on your hp goal, a usable daily drivable amount should be more than enough.
The way my car maneuvers in traffic is a good indication of what a monster this car would be with say 250 to 300whp. At that level, almost everything that you would encounter on regular basis could not compete with you. (pwr 2 weight) This should ring true unless you regularly encounter Corvettes, Vipers, Mustang SS, Ferraris, etc. The question to ask yourself is "IS THIS MY DD CAR OR DO I LIVE AT THE DRAG STRIP?"
I once traded cars for an hour with a buddy. I drove his modded '96 300Z TT. Within that short hour, I had a few challengers. I crushed them with almost no effort...IT TOOK ALL OF THE FUN OUT OF IT! Keep your FRS! God Speed!
