Magazines will compare these cars strictly in terms of performance and give the win to the Z. But we really want our cars to be

1. Cheap
2. Fast
3. Reliable

And you can only pick two. Toyota is executing on that (mind, we still don't have a price nor reliability data). Nissan only picked 1 out of 3. "Fun factor" is not listed because it's purely subjective but one car will have a distinct edge on that (the one that was engineered exactly for that). They'll be different enough that it should be an easy comparison. No match.
