I took some highway design courses in University. No highway is designed for more than 130km/h iirc. Those designs apply to the bends and the sight distances. Of course, those designs are meant to be safe for all the vehicles on the roads...
That said, as speeds like 220km/h, you could be over-driving your sight lines, breaking distances, and very very close to the limits of grip of your tires.
220km/h is 61.1m/s. Even moving your foot from gas to breaks (dangerous at this speed) would take maybe .5sec and you would have travelled more than 30m or 7 lengths of an 86. Scary shit
