i didn't read the entire posts, but isn't a hybrid technology be same thing?
Even with large capacity battery and most of the energy recycled and transferred to the battery pack, it still isn't enough to create massive power. With a simple add-on type of scenario, it wouldn't be too much beneficial at all (maybe 10-20 hp). Plus you would need some short of extra battery large enough to accommodate the power, which could hurt the space and lightness of the car as well as performance. Also with a hybrid application, it generates a "burst" of energy not a long-term "track orientated" power. Cars like Tesla Roadster can only generate full power for very short period.
