To add a little fuel to the fire here:

With a 12.5:1 compression ratio the FA20 likely has a higher than average thermal efficiency. This means that it burns less fuel to make the same 200HP lots of other engines make. Because it burns less fuel, it requires less air, which means a smaller blower will result in more power than an identical engine with a lower thermal efficiency.
