Meh, it's doable. When I was 16 I worked 50-60 hours a week for an inventory service; all graveyard or weekend...with shift-differential I'd make 15-20 bucks an hour. This was the mid-90s. Now, granted, I didn't spend it on a nice car (drove an 88 suburban that smelled like cat-piss, got an amazing 11 mpg, had 3 different colors of body panels, and had a sticky throttle body that could send me careening out of control occassionally), but I could have if I had different priorities.
