I hate sounding like an elitist or a technophobe, but I just don't like paddle shifters. Granted I've never driven a double clutch auto or any of the supercars listed, but I just feel more in tune with the car in a manual. I have driven a Miata (auto with paddle shifters) and a Mini Cooper S (with paddle shifters). Both are sub-Ziggy.

A good point was brought up regarding the position of the paddles while turning a "normal" car's steering wheel. When making a hard left the paddles (in most street cars) get turned in weird places making it that much harder to access and find the right gear.

I don't know, maybe if I were to drive a newer auto I'd like it. Eh. I've heard good things about the new BMW 3-series auto...

But I've never once (even in city traffic or rush hour) thought that I'd rather have an auto for convenience, I just like manuals that much.
