Exactly why I said I couldn't give a shit less about BMW. All I care about is this new featureset, what new head units will have it, and is it worth replacing the stock BRZ head unit with one. My only concern is whether or not putting iOS in a car will pretty much limit the user to iPhone. I seriously doubt Apple will put a bunch of features into iOS for Android users. If I could use my Garmin GPS iPhone app, I'd be elated, especially if they have Siri voice command and much better GPS searches integrating stuff like the Yelp app...
