Hey, isn't adversity a key element of adventure? Anyway, that was probably the only time during the whole weekend where our Hot Lava cars made up half the fleet, at least until the wrong way drivers found the next exit on I-15 (surely no one illegally crossed the divider ) and caught back up again.

Thanks to Boyce for the FUN. It was really a pleasure to see his car take a well-deserved win at the 86EXPO show; IMHO he's done a great job of finding a very good balance between stock and a bit too much bling or ricey-racer fluff. Thanks to Amabel (please excuse misspelling) for the good pix of Frisky and his family. I had to grin when I saw the shot of us desperately trying to compensate for showing up at a meet with a car that hadn't been washed for almost a week before its 350-mile drive to Vegas. Since our only 'mod' to date was a set of Weatherbeater floor mats, we had really expected to park out in the overflow lot, not on the front row by the real show cars.

Thanks to all the Valley and other SoCal 86ers we met at the expo. Kay and I enjoyed sharing the adventure, and look forward to more fun together.
