Dropped the 86 at the shop yesterday for repair. In the walk-around found some additional damage. Looks like the front quarter panel has some paint chipping due to either the shock from the impact or some other vibration as there is no body damage.
The hood is definitely shifted towards the passenger side slightly, but it's almost even all along the length (maybe an 1/8" to a 1/3" off center) which is odd as there is no apparent damage to the hood or the hinges. It was NOT like that before, I've looked at photos. I can read the engine compartment VIN (about halfway up the hood) through the gap its so wide.
Anyway, we will see when they pull it apart.
Still hoping I need a new hood but doesn't seem likely.
Either way I'm getting an estimate on a respray since they'll have it off. The shop may not be willing to do it though because it has a slight rock dent on the passenger side (they had to point it out to me) and they won't paint it with that, but they also won't repair the aluminum hood.

They can't pop the dent or fill it? What kind of body shop is this?
