DC power is a great option. I have one in my KA24DET S14 drift car.

Replacing my old alternator solved a power-draining issue I was having as well.

I was under the impression that the yaw sensor was integrated into the ABS module, so if you changed the orientation of it relative so the car you'd likely end up with weird behavior... at least that...
