Hyper-flash recall notice

I haven't seen this posted anywhere else, but I just received a recall notice for the hyper-flash issue that many have experienced.

The recall number is WRM-23.

Not sure is this is Canada...

I got mine at Ogilvie's and it was hassle free as I was paying cash and they had a pre-order for the configuration that I wanted.

I do my own basic service so I can't comment on that.

Long road trip report

Just got back from a pretty long road trip, Ottawa -> PEI, in the BRZ.

That include winter driving in snow (took delivery Jan 13) and a fairly even mix of city and highway. IIRC my FRS was at 8.5l/100km.

Did my first oil change and installed my Fumoto valve today.

I put back on the extra cover plate. I'll have to decide if I leave it off the next time I change the oil.

I haven't reset the counter since the first week I had the car in Jan and my longterm average is 8.8l/100km.

I'm mostly city driving with a few trips to Montreal.

Because of when I took delivery my FRS that I traded in had winters on it. So I very carefully drove from the dealer to my tire guy, about 2km, and put the winters on the OEM 18" wheels. :burnrubber:
