If it truly does not have any evidence of being hit I would push for warranty. Impossible to tell from a picture it it has physical damage or manufacturing defect. It is a no lose situation to ask...

The wing is easily removed. As far as the holes not so easy to deal with if you are unwilling to repaint the trunk. One option is the Verus duck tail spoiler. It actually does function.

FYI I did use an impact on mine it is easier.

You should be ok. Everything in the engine compartment should be IP65 or greater. I personally do not cover anything when cleaning my engine but do not use a pressure washer.
