Interesting, if we keep in mind the front damper tuning is not the same, it could be that the heavier stiffer kuckles were a better match for what they wanted to achieve.

It seems PS4 tires are noisier than PS4S tires...

It seems PS4 tires are noisier than PS4S tires and my guess would be road noise was not a priority when Subaru asked Michelin to supply a more performing tire.
