update: i brought it to a shop, they welded a head onto it, heated it up, took it out, along with the threads :(, so they retapped it to a bigger diameter, and then just put in a new bolt and nut....

yeah this concerns me as well, i have a perrin 2.5 in resonated catback, and the q300 is suppose to be quieter than the perrin. My guess is the FP/OP combo thats causing the extra noise.
