You don't need the parking brake cable guards - the traction mod moving the control arm down makes them rub against the cable. I run without the guards.

Oh yeah, you're fine. I was rear ended by an 18 wheeler. Had to have the trunk pulled on the frame rig cause it wouldn't close anymore. If that was fine, you'll be okay too

The instructions that came with the traction mod for me said to just remove that bracket. They dont believe it is necessary due to how stiff the cable is.
