It could be a number of things. Offset, alignment, ride height. I run a 255/35 on 18x9.5 +38 but with about an inch drop with -3.3 camber up front and -2 rear I do not get any rub even on track.

Why not e85 and a turbo kit? It will net you around 350whp. With the correlating torque at that power level, you will be near the limit of the transmission.
