I did a track day last weekend and I think the shifting was fine. Maybe slightly more difficult to go 3rd to 4th, but might have just been a mental thing...

I try to do the normal in-lap where you don't touch the brakes at all. It's been very hot the last two weekends I've done though.
Just very annoying to toss them since there's so much pad thickness...
