For the gasket issue try adding copper RTV first. I use it on every flange and never have leaks even when I've reused old gaskets I should have tossed.

From what we've seen on 2nd gen the header doesn't seem to matter nearly as much as it did on first gen.
If you aren't in the states go with whatever is most cost effective.
