It's effectively a bass heavy speaker that you mount to your seat so you can feel certain things to add another layer of immersion. For example, if you were to hit a rumble strip you'd feel it bump.

I'll echo what has been stated before. I learned to drift in Assetto Corsa, then purchased my BRZ and found that most of the skills translated over. I have to agree with you on the butt feedback....
