I think you'll be fine. With an offset of 30 up front, you will poke some.

So, based on the fact that most stretched setups round off, I'm guessing the tyre must be a considerable amount wider than the rim to achieve the squared-off look?

I've seen some setups here where the tyre profile 'squares off' into the tread and others where it 'rounds off'. Does this have more to deal with the tyre size in relation to the rim, or the actual...

I always considered flush to be a perfect fitment.

I'm currently running 18x8.75 +33 all round. Some would consider this an 'OK' fitment, however there is too much poke up front.

This time,...

Loving this thread!

I just purchased a staggered set of 57Xtremes:

F: 18x8.5 +33
R: 18x9.5 +40

Just shopping around for the ideal tyres -- can you please confirm if 225/40/18 (front) and...

Hey Guys,

Can anyone please confirm if 235/40/18 will be an ideal fit for an 18/8.75/+33 offset (square) without fender modding. I plan on lowering between 1"-1.5".

Thanks :)

Oh, got it ;)

255 does sound like a lot of tyre -- no rubbing in the front?

Forgot to ask:

Is there a set difference in width between the front and rear rims in a staggered setup, or does it vary per design?

Thanks Mitch :)

Food for thought. I may as well go the full nine yards -- roll the guards, and get the staggered rims.

Prefer not to touch the fenders. Just want to know how much tyre you can fit in the arch as per stock. I should add that I'm also looking to drop about 1".

Maximum tyre width (for rear wheels)

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of going for a staggered setup on my 86 (tyres only, not wheels).

The rims I like are 18/8.75/35+ (front/rear). I'm getting 235s for the fronts and just want to know how...
