Working at a dealer, the only times I'm aware we denied engine warranty coverage were due to blatant lack of maintenance such as sludge and low oil levels. As long as it's clean and full we...

Any reason not to run a 0W-40? Redline HTHS is 4.0 and 300V is 3.9. Even if it shears down a little bit due to the higher viscosity index you're not any worse off than using an XW-30.

On a Formula 1 car the front wing controls airflow over the entire vehicle to the point where it radically alters the performance of the rear wing. It seems to me very likely that the trumpet could...

I think the Carbing design is pretty close to optimal. Bolts directly to the strut mounts, reinforces the V-brace brackets and is solid with no hinges. Also interestingly, I noticed that it doesn't...

Tire traction ratings are for wet surfaces, they have no direct correlation to grip on dry pavement. I had a set of Yokohama A032Rs back in the day with a C traction rating, I assure you they had...

Based on my measurements most 215s are square on a 7.5" wheel, a 225 would be slightly pinched. Based on the test results, I'd stick with a 215.

Very interesting. I was on the verge of buying yet another set of 245/40s for my 17x9 RPF1s for the next autocross season. Now I'm wondering if 225/45 is the way to go. The fact that they're also...

255/45/18 is almost two and a half inches taller than the stock tire, or nearly 10%, which is frankly kinda absurd. Maybe that's a typo. The stock 215 Primacies are too narrow for a 8.5" wheel...

My theory is that you don't have enough roll stiffness for the grip level of the tires which is causing you to ride down hard on the front bumpstops under cornering. This is where counterintuitive...

By "type of suspension" I'm sure he was referring to MacPherson struts. Compared to double wishbones the lack of camber gain is a much bigger issue, so I would agree with his assessment.

Using a viscosity calculator and punching in the specs for Mobil1 5W-30 and 0W-40 shows they cross over around 0 degrees C. Basically, 0W-40 is going to be thicker at any temperature above freezing.
