What the HECK is that SOUND!?!?

Hey guys,

Been a minute. I've been working hard and such, you know. Just rolled over 11000 miles on the 'ol FR-S.

It seems to have developed a "humming" or "rubbing" sound that is intermittent...

No. If anything, it makes the exhaust cleaner. I've noticed LESS carbon buildup on the tips of my Perrin catback exhaust after adding TCW3.

There is the occasional smell, but it's probably because...

I'm ALMOST tempted to try upping the dose by 50% (1.5oz per 5 gallons). Not sure if it'll do any good. Even at that ratio, which if my math is correct, is 1:405...it's still minuscule.

Maybe a...

I experienced the same thing.

My crickets got louder but I think it's either A) the gas I put in it has more ethanol than usual and/or B) due to the increased mileage. I did just change the oil...

I'm on my third tank of 640:1 ratio of Walmart SuperTech TCW3 (that's 2oz per 10gal). For my purposes, I use a 2oz (~60cc) syringe and draw the oil out of a bottle and add a little bit every 2...

If anything, it's going to clean them. It definitely made things a bit quieter (not as much as the oil change did) and it definitely made all the ticking/clicking/general valve noise at...

Crickets Got Louder... :(

So I went ahead and changed my oil at 3,003 miles. I put in ENEOS 0w-20 and a Subaru filter (the black one).

I've been running TCW3 two-stroke oil in the gas (actually improved everything BUT the...

Personally, I went with a Perrin 2.5" catback with resonator. What's funny about the exhaust is the amount of bass it has when it's high-idling. When you first crank it up in the morning the exhaust...

Okay I'll throw in my 2 cents here. Simply speculating, after an oil change, the "extra stuff" in the oil is usually used up. When it's new you're mixing fresh chemical additives.

That being said...

Okay so I went to Walmart and went ahead and picked up some oil and filter. Their computer thing said the Bosch D3312 fits the 2013 FRS. As do several online places like Amazon and O'Reilly.

BUT...

I'm at 2800 miles on my 2K14 FR-S. Still on factory fill oil.

I tried roughly 2oz (probably slightly less) of Walmart SuperTech TCW3 for the first time before filling up with QuikTrip 93. I never...

I'm a little new car mods. I'm darn good with a wrench if I do say to myself, but car mods (especially exhaust) are pretty new to me, so go easy. I'm trying to learn! :)

So I...
