Did you ever find out what it was? I have a used 2015 and it's the same. 3-4 crunch only when fast shifting or high rpm close to redline.

Thanks Ultramaroon. I will try to hook up a multimeter on the sensor after work. If it's open when not in reverse then i know it's opposite of a door switch. Really bugs me that no one can see me...
