It's generally every X miles or time elapsed (6 months?). Check owners manual or call dealership. You should be rotating tires every 5k. FRS and 86 scheduled intervals are at every 7500 miles.

I guess I left out a detail. The FRS sometimes didn't update the track info. But it did most of the time as well as connecting much quicker. The BRZ connects a lot slower and has never once updated...

All the cars are manufactured at the Subi plant in Japan, but the 86 and the FRS are made to Toyota spec all over the car. I don't know for sure if the tune is Toyota spec, but it probably is
