On the plus side, the dealership will rotate my tires for free going forward. They didn't admit it outright but did mention I wasn't the only one having issues with studs and lugnuts on the FRS.

Thanks everyone! I ended up getting both and also cancelling AAA. Geico seems to have the same roadside assistance coverage for 9.99/6months and that saves me some money to boot!

"Flywheels damaged due to set pins" - this is what caused the noise when I was accelerating and braking after the recall....
