Use a multimeter to double check the clutch...

Use a multimeter to double check the clutch safety switch and the attached wiring.
Also use a multimeter to check every fuse in the car.
And make sure the new fob battery is good and is seated...

Did you try the spare key fob? Auto or manual...

Did you try the spare key fob? Auto or manual car?
They can do weird things when the fob battery is weak!
The safety switch on the manual clutch pedal?
