At what rpm does the di take over. I know di and pi work together til higher rpm. But what rpm. I have a dead miss at 3k rpm and above. Drop below 3k and all is well.

it could be a bad cam gear. They are known to go bad and sound like a rod knock. Also, check for an ejected rocker. Sometimes this causes an oil leak because it will crack the valve cover.
