To address the straight to the battery, that was my first though and although they include the eyelet ends on the hardwiring kit, their instructions specifically say not to connect it to the battery...

Fair enough, shit barely fits. Took some coercion to get into place. If the flex portion of the mid-pipe was maybe 2 inches shorter it would have been perfect.

It did come with instructions (basic, coverall info). Ultimately, it was as simple as any normal exhaust install, wiring aside.
The included cigarette lighter plug was easy enough to get installed...
