First clear look at GR86 / BRZ prototype during testing

No. That article does not say that. The only thing it documents is the speculation of one UK executive who is far removed from the development of the cars.

It’d be cool if you added sources for...

You don’t even need an automatic clutch in. VW didn’t bother with it because most drivers instinctively clutch in when the emergency stop triggers. And if you don’t, oh well the engine stalls. No...

I’m not so sure about that. Subaru will have to figure out eyesight on manual cars at some point soon anyway, providing they intend to keep a manual option on the next STI. I would be extremely...

People get hung up on details in the design. The headlight shape is vaguely reminiscent of the late tiburon headlights, I can see that. But i agree that the proportions are 100% GT86.

Well it may be getting close cause they wouldn’t bother to benchmark against it if it wasn’t close.

On PS4s the 86 will murder the stang in the corners. The following is speculation but I bet...

I don’t see blind spot monitoring/lane keeping hardware on the side mirrors. Good.

Yeah I don’t see that extra line on the test car either. I’m hoping the camo is messing with us (kind of its job lol) and preventing us from seeing the prominence of the hips. I would be sad too if...

Not with modern emissions standards. The head already doesn’t flow well past 7k anyway.

I’m loving the hofmeister kink, as I’ve been lamenting BMW’s abandonment of their design language.

No, the ecoboost Mustang is 3532lbs. And has significantly better power to weight, almost 20% better than the 86.

310/3532 = 0.0878
205/2780 = 0.0737

This is easily verifiable information, why...

I think it’ll be ~217 at the crank. Manufacturers never reference WHP. I do think we will get much more torque though.

I would. Those intakes aren’t nearly big enough to feed a side mount, and they’re too outboard. They simply feed air into the wheel well, and the fender vent lets it out. It reduces profile drag by...
