You’re right there’s nothing magical about weight, but weight (relative to the rest of the segment) seems to be a good indicator of the overall design philosophy of a given enthusiast car.

Yea from the times I've seen 02C and K7X side by side, K7X seems darker, pearlier, and less metallic to me. It's darker and a more subtle highlight. That may be why it looks darker to begin with.
